After graduating from Goucher College, I moved to San Francisco where I worked as a photographer and programs producer for the Presidio Trust. Nights and weekends were spent shooting the local music scene and weddings. I love taking pictures, but after meeting with a photo editor at Wired I realized I wanted to have a more immersive role in the photo industry and community.
I moved to NYC in 2007 and honed my photo and production skills at Fortune, a magazine rich in visual history. My responsibilities included commissioning print and online feature and cover shoots. From there I became the Photo Editor at Photo District News (PDN), the photo industry's award-winning monthly magazine. At PDN I produced "Emerging," a 4-month exhibition at The Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles showcasing images from more than 90 photographers around the globe as well as being involved in PDN's 30. PDN was the perfect platform to combine my passions for working with established photographers and discovering new talent.
In 2014, I co-founded CoEdit Collection, a curated art consulting service and online gallery. I also develop programming for professional photographers and the creative community. At the Photoville festival in NYC, I was Programs Producer in 2016 and 2017, bringing the world's brightest minds together to discuss issues in contemporary photography which included a full day conference showcasing insights and resources for building a photo business.
In my spare time, I like to run, explore new places, eat gummy bears, watch Philadelphia sports, as well as mentor young photographers through the non-profit NYC SALT.
